My Sad Truth

I spend more time on Pinterest, planning my wedding, than I do being out in the real world meeting someone I could some day marry.

However, I do know exactly what kind of wedding I want now. So if I don't end up forever alone, I'll have a perfect fall wedding in September. Sigh. Now I have to actually get out in the world and meet people. Meh. Overrated.

I've been reading things about how unhappy people can make each other in their marriages. I'm considering never entering into such an institution and just finding random men to have sex with. We'll see how that goes.

I learned, after many years of being alone, that I would rather be alone forever (cue age 60 and 12 cats) than be in a marriage that was less than MY ideal.

I say keep on planning your wedding (cuz that's just fun, yo) and waiting for Mr. Perfect for YOU. Never settle. And never let anyone tell you to. (My bishop told me once I was too intimidating to men, that men didn't want a woman who knew so much what she wanted out of life. uhh, what?)

Not all marriages suck. Adam and I aren't perfect (well, he isn't, which is why we have problems ;), but we do genuinely have a good relationship, and we love to be together, even after 8 years. We rarely fight, and I love being married. You can totally have that.
